I’m so excited for today’s post for a few reasons… one being that it’s spring decor so it gives me hope and excitement & also I get to work with some amazing friends on this post with one of them being the star of this post, Courtney from French Country Cottage who has a floral line with Balsam Hill.. how exciting is that? Courtney has been a good friend of mine for a long time now & it’s such a joy for me to see her on this life journey & all of the exciting things she is up to. It’s so fun to be a part of that journey today with her! She asked a few of us to show some of the line off & I was honored to be able to style some of the pieces in our home. And the last reason? Well, I hung a watering can above the mantel & that was pretty fun so here is what I came up with…

I chose to style the garland & the wreath by our front mantel & I rarely show this space on the blog so I thought it would be super fun to show these pieces off in a new spot in our home. I chose to show off the MARSEILLE MEADOW FOLIAGE [See more of it HERE] in the new line. It reminded me of gathered wild greens that I may find in our back pasture or even in our garden. I loved how free spirited they were. Kind of like me.. the messy farmgirl who is never organized & kind of scattered.. just like these greens. I also love that even with the little pops of color, it was still neutral and fit the vibe of our house with the tiny pops of purple & pink. Honestly they kind of reminded me of an entrance to a garden from Peter Rabbit or something more romantic like The Secret Garden….

For the mantel I simply draped the gorgeous garland over the mantel. I tacked little nails into the mantel to hold it up where I wanted like on the ends & one in the middle. After two many times of adjusting garlands, this little trick keeps my sanity! To compliment the garland, I hung an antique watering can from a wreath hanger by the handle of the watering can. I stuck some loose greens in the can & in the spout to compliment it. That’s how simple that little DIY is… simply but an over the door wreath hanger over the salvage piece [you could use a window] & hang the watering can from the hanger. You could also use string, rope, & other methods to hang the can. I also stuck a few other watering cans in the vignette to bring the spring vibe up & I think my new favorite thing to decorate with this season is watering cans! I have a feeling you will be seeing a lot more of these from me.. I hope you love it!!

For the wreath I style it by my mora clock. I thought about hanging it on the wall, but instead I put an antique door behind the mora & hunt the wreath on the door. The wreath is massive & so lovely.. I honestly can’t wait to try it in different areas of our home. Can you imagine this on our front door? So lovely! For now. it’s here in our front living room giving hints of spring & warmer weather coming our way here soon.
