In just under two weeks, I’ll be turning in the final files for the first issue of our very first print magazine. We’ve been working on this issue since last year and it has been a lifetime’s worth of lessons all packed into one project. I didn’t want to stop the conversations we started with In the Company of Women, but I also didn’t want to just follow the same format and release another volume. So we’re taking the energy and lessons learned from that book and applying them to a magazine where the conversations will be more communal, get deeper and even more honest — and will cover a wider range of topics. I really value all the feedback I got from the book (covering more rural areas, broadening the range of creative job types, etc.) and we’ve applied them with our whole hearts to this first issue. I don’t know what the future of web or print will be, but I do know that I feel proud to put these conversations out into the world. Until then (the first issue should be out in April), I’m hustling to finish up final edits and distracting myself with small moments of design inspiration, like this amazing rug from Frances Loom. I could get lost in patterns like this all day. If you need some design inspiration or distraction, check out our favorite links from around the web this week. Have a safe and happy weekend. xo, Grace

If Wednesday Adams grew up and moved to San Francisco (why not?) she’d live here. Hooray for cool, goth houses.

“If you’re wearing a sequin gown, you better know where you’re going.” Oprah wearing fall fashion (“Fash-ON!”) at In Style might be the greatest 1 minute of video footage I’ve seen all month.

This Vans/Sharpie collab moment (by Joshua Vides) is stunning. I would wear these in a heartbeat. Just not here… because our entire town is covered in a foot of melted snow mud.

These tips for vintage hunting from a wide range of pros is a great read. Always a handy reminder as we head into spring season when flea markets and giant trunk shows (Hello, Brimfield) start opening.
