The Secret Ingredient is Love: Valentine’s Day Sweets Recipes

You can pack fragrant sweets in a beautiful box and give as a main gift, or you can pamper your loved ones with delicious pastries for the holiday.

Cake minute

It will take you 10-15 minutes to prepare it. Despite the easy recipe, the taste of the cake is incredible. It will surely become your favorite treat for holidays or for family tea drinking.

You will need:

  • 1 pack of softened butter;
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil;
  • 1 cup of sugar;
  • 1 cup of powdered sugar;
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract;
  • 2 eggs;
  • 2 cups of flour;
  • 1 teaspoon cream;
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda;
  • M & M for decoration.

Cooking:

Preheat oven to 180ºС. Mix butter, eggs, vegetable oil and vanilla extract with a mixer. In another bowl, mix all the dry ingredients and add to the dough. Put the resulting mass on a greased baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes.

Shortbread

Simple and tasty shortbread biscuits will be an excellent treat for tea.

You will need:

  • 2 cups of flour;
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt;
  • a pack of softened butter;
  • 1 cup of sugar;
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract;
  • raspberry jam.

In a small bowl, mix the flour and salt. In a large bowl, with an electric mixer at medium speed, beat the butter and sugar for about 3 minutes. Add vanilla, then mix the contents of both bowls at low speed. Divide the dough into 2 parts, wrap in foil and leave in the refrigerator for 2 hours, or better at night.

Preheat oven to 160ºС. Roll out the dough and make the forms. Bake for 13-15 minutes until the edges are golden. Grease the finished cookies with jam and cover with another cookie on top.

Cheesecake

Everyone’s favorite delicacy can be the main treat for the holiday.

You will need:

  • shortbread 150 grams;
  • a pinch of cinnamon;
  • 4 tablespoons of softened butter;
  • 2 packs of cream cheese;
  • 1 cup sugar;
  • 3 large eggs;
  • 50 grams of sour cream.

Cooking:

Mix crushed biscuits, cinnamon and butter. If you make small portions, then in each form lay out a tablespoon of the mixture, press and cool. Whip cream cheese, gradually adding sugar, eggs and sour cream.

If you want to get multi-colored cheesecakes, then use fruit purees as a natural dye.

Natural dyes:

  • blue – 1-2 tablespoons of blueberry puree;
  • pink – 1-2 tablespoons of raspberry puree;
  • yellow – zest of one lemon, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and 1 egg yolk;
  • orange – 1/2 tablespoon of carrot puree and 2 teaspoons of orange juice;
  • white – just cheesecakes;
  • Greens – two lime zest and lime juice;
  • red – blackberry or raspberry puree.

Pour the dough into the molds and bake in a water bath for 20-25 minutes at a temperature of 180ºС. Then cool to room temperature and refrigerate for 2 hours.
