Say hello to this nourishing mixed berry smoothie! Creamy, rich, naturally sweet and absolutely worth waking up for! I’ve been drinking this energizing concoction for weeks and I just can’t get enough!

All you need to make this easy gluten-free mixed berry smoothie is 7 simple wholesome ingredients: blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, banana, kefir and quinoa flour. If you have a sweet tooth, feel free to add an optional teaspoon of maple syrup too.

To make it vegan, simply swap kefir with almond milk, I often do it and is equally delightful. Also, if you have troubles finding quinoa flour, substitute with puffed quinoa, almond or coconut flour.
The sweet & tart berry flavor is combined with a rich mix of banana and quinoa flour , and it’s all liquefied with a splash of super healthy homemade kefir, to make a beautifully balanced nutritious breakfast you can sip on all morning long.

When I have a little more time, I like to first blend strawberries & raspberries together with a splash of water and set it  aside, then blend blackberries & blueberries with banana & quinoa flour, and alternate the two colored smoothies in a tall glass. It doesn’t only look *super pretty*, but you are able to taste all the different berries at their berry best.

However, if you have a busy lifestyle like mine (super active 10 month old *check*, writing first cookbook *check*, loading the blog with delicious new recipes *check*), then you know having a proper pretty breakfast at the table is a luxury.

But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t get all the nutrients you need to make the most of your day, actually the very opposite.
This nutrient-packed mixed berry smoothie is the perfect on-the-go breakfast for busy mornings. All you have to do is throw all the ingredients in a powerful blender (I use my loyal Vitamix *affiliate*), and liquefy for about 30 seconds. Yes, I’m talking about a 30-second breakfast, how awesome is that?!#

I’m totally in love with my SIGG bottles, they’re simply beautiful and divine to store your drinks!
SIGG is Switzerland’s leading reusable bottle brand and has been making safe, durable and stylish bottles with long-lasting quality for just about 110 years old, and all their bottles are BPA and EA free (so they contain no harmful chemicals).

The Dream bottles range is my absolute favourite, and it comes in so many lovely colours. It’s made with super strong heat-resistant borosilicate glass and it’s 100% leak-proof so no need to worry about annoying spillages. My baby loves playing with it, I think because of the soft silicone cover, and I can guarantee these features come really handy when you have kids around!
And if you love hot drinks on-the-go, check out their Hot&Cold bottles range too, so you can switch from smoothies and fruit-infused water to hot tea in a blink.
